I was invited by the curators Lou Stoppard and Adam Murray, who were staging an exhibition in Liverpool's Open Eye Gallery, to design various spaces within the show. The show explores fashion's relations with the north of England through photography, film, artworks and clothing. Part of my work included designing a mock football changing room, with shower cubicles and football benches. I also designed space for 7 films, each in conversation with a different photographer, designer etc who grew up in the north. The spaces became quite individual, inspired by each interview. Such as a hotel bedroom or cinema chair. I wanted to create a feeling that the interviewee was relating his stories, which were very intimate, in a one on one conversation with the listener.
